Trader Vic’s at Crowne Plaza Dubai relaunches after an awesome makeover

Trader Vic’s – the popular restaurant and bar relaunched last week following a soft refurbishment. In conjunction with that a grand party was thrown to special guests and media on the 4th April 2017.  Traders Vic’s has always been a much sought after destination in Dubai known for its delicious food, divine cocktails and exotic milieu. Now with the new facelift, it is touted to be the hottest spots on Sheikh Zayed Road for dining and wining.

The new design of the restaurant, which sits within the 3rd floor of the 5-star Crowne Plaza Hotel, makes the most of the floor-to-ceiling, with contemporary fabrics, new luxurious seating, Polynesian décor, paintings, artefacts and carpet designed exclusively for Trader Vic’s.  The essence of the restaurant which their regular guests know and love would remain the same, however what the refurbishment has done is breathe new life and earthiness into the space, fully integrating the fantastic views of Sheikh Zayed Road, which existing and new customers will embrace and appreciate.  The design is in keeping with the classicism of Trader Vic’s which has been in existence, as a brand, since 1934.

Founded by Victor Bergeron, the Polynesian-themed restaurant chain bears the nickname of its founder “Trader Vic”.  The Original Mai Tai – the world famous exotic drink which is a concoction of rum, pineapple spear, mint leaves and lime peel and served on the rocks was also created by Victor Bergeron in 1944. Since then it has become a global favourite.

Trader Vic’s Crowne Plaza Dubai offers guests a welcomed escape from the bustle of the city. The authentic Polynesian scheme transports one to the islands with walls wrapped in handmade Tapa cloth from the island of Tonga, carved Marquesan Tikis and tribal masks from Papua New Guinea. Trader Vic’s Crowne Plaza Dubai also offers two private rooms for special occasions and meetings. The Shell Room bedecked with shells and found nautical objects seats a total of eight. The Tonga Room can accommodate up to fourteen.

Trader Vic’s Crowne Plaza Dubai was first to introduce bands from Cuba back in 1994. Playing the “Son” style of Latin music unique to the isle of Cuba, it has been a tradition since and popular with guests.  It is great place to go out for many occasions including after work drinks, an intimate dinner, a night with a group of friends or for corporate or private parties and events.  A Dubai favourite since it first appeared on the scene back in November of 1994, it has flourished for 22 years in the Middle East, paving the way for continued presence in the region.

Check out the new-look Trader Vic’s and enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and fantastic food in the accompaniment of fine cocktails, exotic Cuban cigars, and live music played by the in-house band.   A truly extraordinary and unforgettable experience is what Trader Vic’s promises.
